Amazing Mesa Boogie Amp from the 90’s. These are pretty rare and quite an odd configuration for a Mesa Boogie Amp being a 4x10, and also for having Jensen speakers. The Jensens give it a more throaty Fender tone and the 4x10 configuration means it sits somewhere between and Fender Bassman, Super Reverb and Mesa Boogie Lone Star. It’s definitely doesn’t have the boxy feel of the Boogie Mark series and lacks a little of that glassy tone of the Lonestar line but it does have a slightly more mellow sound than any Mesa Amp I’ve owned. This makes it super versatile, as the drive the channel really bites- as you’d expect from a Mesa. It has a foot switch, reverb and tremolo, but pls note that tremolo channel is a little faulty- the volume drops considerably when engaged. Aside from that, everything works perfectly and it’s cosmetically sound too. It’s a great amp and certainly one of a kind as far as Mesa’s go. You’re welcome to come test it in Nørrebro.
